It's hot out on the island, but Vinga is happy to be spending summer with Grandpa, far from her problems at home. Drinking rhubarb lemonade under the lilac tree, picknicking on the beach and watching the sunset from 'her' cliff, she is free to be herself. But when Ruth turns up, in her black vest and big black hat, Vinga feels shy.
